Joe Corvo

  • Joe Corvo is an American professional hockey player currently playing for the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League.
  • NHL Career

    Prior to playing in the NHL, Corvo played college hockey for Western Michigan University. While in college he was drafted 83rd overall in the 1997 NHL Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He spent the next few seasons with the Kings' American Hockey League affiliates, the Springfield Falcons, the Lowell Lock Monsters and the Manchester Monarchs. Corvo made his NHL debut with the Kings in 2002. During the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, Corvo returned to the AHL to play for the Chicago Wolves. Corvo then signed with the Ottawa Senators on July 1, 2006. Most recently, on February 11, 2008, he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.
