  • Joe Cocker is a rock and blues singer who became very popular after his performance at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. Prior to Woodstock, Cocker mostly played around his native England (including a gig with The Rolling Stones in 1963). But it was his cover of the Beatles it "With a Little Help From My Friends" that gained him international attention and was his ticket to play the legendary music festival.

In fact, it would be cover songs that amounted to most of his success, including another Beatles cover, "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window," and the Dave Mason composition "Feelin' Alright." Some of his other hit songs include "You Are So Beautiful," "Up Where We Belong," and "Unchain My Heart."

In 1994, Cocker came full circle when he kicked off the 25th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival.
