Joe Burkett is a U.S. Department of State contractor who was stationed in Iraq during the war. It was reported in June, 2008, that Burkett had an alleged affair with CBS correspondent Lara Logan while she was in Iraq covering the war.National Enquirer: CBS News Lara Logan Divorce War (June 5, 2008) In July of 2008, Logan revealed in a Washington Post article that she was pregnant with Burkett's child.
