Joe Alexander 2009-10 Season

Joe Alexander began the season as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. On February 18, 2010, Alexander was traded along with Hakim Warrick to the Chicago Bulls for shooting-guard John Salmons. This move was made in order to improve the Bulls’ flexibility under the cap for 2010 off-season. Alexander only appeared in only eight games for a combined total of 28 minutes. With that kind of playing time, it is difficult to foresee Alexander being in the Bulls’ long-term plans going forward especially with Miller and Noah ahead of him on the team‘s depth chart.

Joe Alexander was the eighth player taken in the 2008 draft and spent the 2008-2009 season playing for the Milwaukee Bucks making his professional debut against the New York Knicks on 11/2/08. Joe Alexander appeared in 59 games for Milwaukee. Alexander scored his first career points against the Boston Celtics on 11/7/08. Alexander led the Bucks in blocking 15 times during the 2008-2009 season. Joe Alexander averaged 4.7 points and 1.9 rebounds.
