Joanna Parrish was allegedly killed by Michel Fourniret in May 1990. Joanna had been in France teaching English, as part of the requirements for the teaching degree she was pursuing at Leeds University. She was raped and strangled near Auxerre, France. Her body was found by a river the day after she disappeared.
