  • Jo Dee Messina is an American country music singer-songwriter who started up her own band at the age of 16. After years of struggling in the music industry and moving to Nashville, Jo Dee Messina caught the eye of Curb Records while backstage at a Tim McGraw concert. Since then, she has had nine number one hits including smash hits "Bring on the Rain" and "My Give a Damn's Busted". Currently she is working on her fourth album set to be released sometime in 2009.

    Jo Dee Messina and husband Chris Deffenbaugh welcomed 6 lb., 15 oz. Noah Roger Deffenbaugh at a Nashville area hospital on January 19, 2009.     In 2004 Messina entered a rehabilitation facility in Utah for treatment for alcoholism. On Oct. 21, 2007, Messina married Chris Deffenbaugh in a Nashville ceremony. Country singer, Danielle Peck was her bridesmaid.
