Synopsis
JLA was a relaunch of the popular Justice League of America series. This volume sought to condense the multiple Justice League titles that existed prior to 1997, creating one main team. With longtime members like Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and Aquaman on the team, JLA became a popular title during its publication.
The storylines focused mainly on the superhero group's battles with otherworldly forces that threatened Earth, like villainous aliens and a futuristic war machine.
In 2006, JLA was canceled to make way for Volume 2 of the title, which takes place post-Infinite Crisis.
