• Originally a member of the one-hit-wonder band The Gentrys, Jimmy Hart is best known as a professional wrestling manager for the WWE and WCW.

After working on some music with wrestler Jerry Lawler, Hart was asked by Lawler to accompany him to the ring for some matches. Hart stuck by Lawler through the wrestler's feud with Andy Kauffman, and later managed King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude and Randy Savage before signing with Vince McMahon.

As a heel manager for most of his WWE career, Hart was given a megaphone and dubbed "the Mouth of the South." He went on to manage many of the WWE's most successful heel tag teams. Starting with the Hart Foundation in 1985, other WWE Tag Team Champions who benefited from Hart's "managerial skills" included the the Natural Disasters and Money Inc..

Towards the end of his initial run with the company, Hart turned face and stood in the corner of Hulk Hogan, who is a good friend of Hart's in real life.

Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
