    Dimora began his political career as a councilman for the City of Bedford Heights, Ohio, and in 1981 began serving as the city's mayor.   • Corruption Investigation

    A long-term federal corruption investigation became publicly known in July 2008, when federal agents raided the homes of Dimora and Frank Russo, an county auditor in Cuyahoga County. Several other homes were also raided. The investigation is looking into the relationships between county employees and officials and companies conducting businesses with the county.
