• History

  Jimmy Choo was broached by Tamara Mellon in 1996 who saw the potential of a successful ready to wear shoe company. With Jimmy Choo as the designer and shoe production in Italy. Tamara garnered clients that include Harrods and Saks Fifth Avenue. bringing Stores to the USA by opening stores in New York, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas.

  In April of 2001, Choo partnered with Equinox Luxury Holdings Ltd. Equinox acquired Choo’s shares in the company and Robert Bensoussan became chief executive and CEO of Jimmy Choo. The company soon introduced handbags and leather goods, with its success it opened twenty six new stores.

  In 2007 Jimmy Choo celebrated its eleventh anniversary and is now enjoying its status as one of the worlds leading luxury brand shoes for women with a large list of celebrity clientel. Jimmy Choo now has over 60 stores in many of the world's most extravagant locations world wide. .
