Jim Zorn

Jim Zorn was announced as the new head coach of the Washington Redskins on February 9, 2008, after legendary coach Joe Gibbs ended his second tenure with the franchise. Before becoming the head coach in Washington, Zorn was a quarterbacks coach for the team he found success with as a player in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite not leading the Redskins to the playoffs in the 2008 season, Washington vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato announced on December 23, 2008, that Zorn would return as head coach in 2009.ESPN.com: Cerrato: Zorn to return in 2009

Brief Biography

Jim Zorn got his start in coaching at Boise State University in 1988. He later made his NFL coaching debut with the team that drafted him as a player, the Seattle Seahawks. He stayed with the organization for six years before attaining his job as head coach for the Redskins.
