• Incident with Jim Everett

  In 1994, Jim Rome hosted an ESPN2 show called Talk2. On an episode of Talk2 Rome had NFL quarterback Jim Everett on as a guest.

  Rome relentlessly referred to Jim as Chris Everett, the female tennis player, at which point Jim turned over a desk that was positioned between the two and knocked Rome to the floor. A producer of the show broke up the fray, which was captured on camera.
