Jim Nantz

Longtime sportscaster Jim Nantz works for CBS, covering National Football League and National Basketball Association games, as well as PGA golf. Nantz spoke out in November of 2008, after FOX Sports was outbid by ESPN for BCS college bowl game coverage, saying that "it's hard to compete with them when they can double dip."USA Today: CBS' Nantz: Leave Something for the Rest of Us

Broadcasting Career

Nantz joined the CBS broadcasting team in 1985 and has called numerous sporting events including the U.S. Open Tennis Championship, the NCAA Basketball, the Olympics, the Super Bowl, among others. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 and was honored in 2005 with the National Sportscaster of the Year award.CBSSports.com: Jim Nantz

Always By My Side

In 2008, Nantz released a book, Always By My Side: A Father’s Grace and a Sports Journey Unlike Any Other. The book is in memory of his late father, who lost his battle with Alzheimer's disease and includes a foreword written by former President George H. W.
