  • The Punky QB

McMahon posted gaudy passing statistics while at BYU, and after several seasons on the rise, led the Bears to a Super Bowl title. That 1985 Bears season is memorable not only for the team's exploits on the field, but also their brashness off of it. McMahon was one of several Bears involved in the recording of the Super Bowl Shuffle late that season. He would later become embroiled in controversy with then commissioner Pete Rozelle for wearing headbands with un-authorized corporate logos. He then began wearing plain headbands with the name "Rozelle" written in magic marker.
