Jim Carrey is a Canadian-born actor who rose to fame in the 1994 film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Before hitting the big screen, Carrey was known as a cast member on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. Carrey on Larry King Live
In an interview with Larry King in mid December 2008, Carrey revealed details of his life, including his battle with depression. Carrey made this statement about the anti depressant drug Prozac, "At the risk of like opening up the whole Tom Cruise Prozac argument, you know, I don't disagree in many ways. I think Prozac and things like that are very valuable to people for short periods of time. But I believe if you're on them for an extended period of time, you never get to the problem." He also talked about his depression treatment of choice, stating, "Supplements. It is vitamins. But it's also certain elements of the brain like Tyrosine and hydroxytryptophan that they're treating depression with now. It is a natural substance that's in your brain."PerezHilton: Jim Carrey, Smarter Than We Thought (December 17, 2008)
