  • Canadian interior designer Jillian Harris was a contestant on the 13th season of the reality series The Bachelor. Single father Jason Mesnick eliminated Harris as a prospective bride, after meeting her family and vacationing with her in New Zealand.

    On July 6, 2009, fans were relieved that Harris finally saw through Wes Hayden, and declined to give him a rose.

    She ultimately chose Ed Swiderski to be her husband, after a tumultuous finale, that revealed Reid Rosenthal returning to ask for Harris' hand in marriage.

    Harris and Swiderski will join Jake Pavelka on the premiere of The Bachelor to help him make the right choice, when he sends ten women home. They also plan to make an announcement of their own. Could it be wedding bells?

    The Bachelor is a reality television show that houses 25 women together as they date and seek the attention of a single male. Each week one or more of the contestants are voted off the show in the part of the program called the "Rose Ceremony." In the ceremony, the Bachelor gives roses to the ladies he would like to have stay in the game and get to know better. The ladies who do not receive a flower are sent home.
