While Jill Stuart began her mark with belts, handbags, and other accessories, it was her Skinclothes line in the Fall of 1993 that made the fashion world take notice. The line included leather slip dresses, fitted jeans, shirts, and jackets with affordable price tags. Women's Wear Daily's excitement for the line helped the company reach $100 million that year and one of Stuart's outfits was even seen on Alicia Silverstone's Clueless which gained a new kind of interest from Hollywood. -
