Jil Sander

Jil Sander is a fashion house for luxurious womens wear and mens wear. The signature styles for this label are minimalist and luxurious, and their products were originally designed for business women. This label later branched out to menswear, fragrances, jewelry, eyewear, and beauty products.

The Jil Sander label was originally designed and launched by German fashion designer Jil Sander. Prada Group bought the company in 2000. Jil Sander left six months after because of a dispute with Prada's CEO at that time, Patrizio Bertelli.

Milan Vukmirovic was then appointed as the lead designer, but failed to satisfy the clientele. Jil Sander returned to the company in 2003, but she left again in 2004 and hasn't returned. Raf Simons is her current replacement, and the label itself is now owned by Onward Holdings Co.

Jil Sander was the label's first and most famous designer. However, she quit in year 2000 after a dispute with Patrizio Bertelli, the CEO of Prada House who bought 75% of Jil Sander's shares.

Milan Vukmirovic replaced her as the label's designer, but failed to live up to his predecessor. Jil Sander then returned in 2003, but she resigned for good in November 2004. The company then appointed Raf Simons as the designer who currently designs for the label.
