JFK Assassination

  • President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 while riding through the city in a motorcade. Though there has been much controversy and discussion about the events that day, it is commonly believed that John F. Kennedy was shot by radical activist Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone. Numerous conspiracy theories have surrounded the assassination of JFK, but none have been proven.
  • Lee Harvey Oswald

JFK was shot at 12:30 pm as his limousine turned into Dealy Plaza. According to the Warren Commission the president was shot in the neck, and a second bullet shattered the right side of his skull.

Oswald was arrested an hour and 20 minutes after the assassination, for killing a Dallas police officer. The officer, J.D. Tippit, spotted Oswald walking down the sidewalk. When Officer Tippit tried to arrest him, Oswald shot him. Oswald was charged with the murder of JFK, and the officer. He never went to trial because just two days after the incident he was shot while being transported from police headquarters to jail.
