    Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth as seen through the eyes of the conflicted and tragic Judas Iscariot, a disciple who has become disillusioned with Jesus, his rise to popularity as a "king", and claims to divinity.
