• Jesse McCartney is an American pop star and Daytime Emmy-nominated actor. In early 2000 he was a member of the all boy band Dream Street.

  McCartney released his debut solo album Beautiful Soul in 2004. His first single of the same name was released in December of that same year. It made it to the number fifteen spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

  McCartney's other singles include "She's No You," "Get Your Shine On," "Because You Live," "Right Where You Want Me," "Just So You Know," "Leavin'" and "Just Go."

• Early Life

  At the age of seven McCartney began performing in local community musicals. At the age of ten he joined the nationwide tour of The King and I. When he turned 11 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. From there he went on to perform with Roger Daltry in A Christmas Carol. Then from 1998 to 2001 he portrayed Adam Chandler, Jr. in the soap opera All My Children. He also had a role in the short-lived television show Summerland. He co-starred with Elizabeth Harnois in the independent movie Keith.
