Jesse Eisenberg

Jesse Adam Eisenberg is an American television actor and film actor. Although he was born in Queens, New York, he was raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He attended the Frost School, Hammarskjold Middle School, Churchill Junior High School, and East Brunswick High School. Upon graduating from high school, he was accepted into NYU (New York University), but did not attend, as he was set to complete the TV movie Lightning: Fire From The Sky in 2001. Following his tenure at The New School, Eisenberg appeared in the Wes Craven directed film, Cursed, the indie drama The Squid and the Whale with Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels, and Adventureland directed by Greg Mottola. Jesse Eisenberg began his acting career during middle school when he made his Broadway debut as an understudy in the 1996 revival of Summer and Smoke. Three years later, he took time off from his sophomore year in high school in 1999 to film the first and only season of Get Real. Then in 2000, he auditioned and won a role in the television movie, Lightning: Fire from the Sky. After receiving good reviews for his role, he was cast to star in Roger Dodger, an independent film for which he won an award at the San Diego Film Festival.

Following Roger Dodger, Eisenberg starred in The Emperor's Club in 2002. Eisenberg then won the role of Sam Gold, a Hasidic Jewish teen moonlighting as an ecstasy dealer in Holy Rollers. In 2010, Eisenberg was cast as Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in the Aaron Sorkin film, The Social Network. This role helped Eisenberg gain international exposure as it reached #1 at the box office.
