Jerry Stackhouse is 6’6” small forward-shooting guard swingman with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks.
Stackhouse was born on November 5, 1974, in Kinston, North Carolina. He attended high school at Oak Hill Academy and later attended the University of North Carolina, where he played two seasons with the Tar Heels. After his sophomore season, Stackhouse declared for the 1996 NBA Draft and was drafted with the third overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers.
In his first season in the NBA, Stackhouse was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team and led the 76ers in scoring with 19.2 points per game. In 1997, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons with Eric Montross for Theo Ratliff, Aaron McKie and future considerations. During his years in Detroit, Stackhouse was named to the NBA All-Star team twice, in 2000 and 2001, but in 2002, Stackhouse was traded to the Washington Wizards and then again in 2004 to the Dallas Mavericks.NBA.com: Jerry Stackhouse
Jerry Stackhouse 2010 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals
In the 2010 playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks squared off against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Bucks lost the first two games of the series but managed to rally for a three games to two lead, but could not close the series out and lost the final two games, being bounced from the playoffs in the first round.

Jerry Stackhouse 2009/10 Season
Jerry Stackhouse spent the beginning of the 2009/10 season as a free agent after missing all but 10 games of the 2008/09 season with an injury. Stackhouse finished the 2009/10 regular season by appearing in 42 games for the Bucks while averaging just over 20 minutes a game. Jerry Stackhouse 2008/09 Season
The 2008/09 season was the fifth and final season with the Dallas Mavericks for Jerry Stackhouse. It was also the first season in Stackhouse’s career in which he did not average over 10 points a game for the season.
The year started off with a rift forming between Stackhouse and the Mavericks when he expressed an interest to either be traded to a team that would give him more playing time, or to be released outright so he could be a free agent.
