Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer was born in London in February 13, 1944, as his parents and family fled to New York City, New York when he was five to escape the horrors of the holocaust. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tulane University. In 1968, he earned a law degree from Northwestern University. After law school he worked as one of Senator Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign aides. Shortly after Kennedy’s death, Springer joined a law firm and began the political road that led him to becoming Mayor of Cincinnati in 1977. He became one of the country’s youngest mayors at the age of 33. Five year later, he begins doing political reporting and commentator on WLWT-TV out of Cincinnati, launching his career into broadcasting. The stationed was owned by the same people that owned The Phil Donahue Show. The Jerry Springer Show was born when his bosses took him to lunch and announced they had a new job for him. The Associated Press reported on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, that Jerry Springer has set out to once again reinvent himself, by hosting the new Game Show Network (GSN) dating game. The name of the show is Baggage and is set to air next month. The game consists of three contestants that have the chance to win a prospective date. However: Contestants have to tell all their faults and shortcomings.
