Jeremy Northam was born in Camrbridgeshire, England. His mother was a professor of economics, and his father was a professor of literature.
He attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to pursue acting training. Since graduation, he has appeared mainly in British TV series and movies. He is currently starring as Sir Thomas More on Showtime's series The Tudors. The series also stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Sam Neill.
