Jeopardy! is a syndicated game show television program produced by CBS and airing in syndication since 1984. Merv Griffin created Jeopardy! as a response to the quiz-show scandals that nearly destroyed the genre. The twist was that the audience must supply the question to the provided answers. In addition to the three versions of the core show, there have been spin-offs like Rock and Roll Jeopardy!, Celebrity Jeopardy, and various student and tournament specials.
