Jennifer Saunders is an English actress, comedian, and writer. She was born on July 6, 1958 in Lincolnshire, England. She attended the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London. She married comedian Adrian Edmondson on May 11, 1985. They have three daughters together, Eleanor, Beatrice and Freya. Saunders currently resides in Chagford, Devon.
Acting Career
Saunders began her career in comedy and was a member of the comedy group, "The Comic Strip." She made appearances on the television comedy series The Comic Strip Presents between the years of 1982-2000. In 1985, Saunders co-wrote the sitcom Girls On Top in which she also starred with Tracey Ullman and Ruby Wax. Later that year, Saunders played in the British sitcom Happy Families. From there, she played in the films Eat the Rich, Muppet Treasure Island, Spiceworld, Fanny and Elvis and Absolument fabuleux. Her more recent works include Shrek 2 and L'Entente cordiale.
