Jennifer Gale was a transgendered perennial political candidate who ran for multiple offices in her hometown of Austin, Texas, including mayor and school board. Gale was found dead on the morning of December 17, 2008 outside of First English Lutheran Church in Austin. The cause of her death was initially unknown. Gale had been running for the 2009 Austin mayoral election.

Although Jennifer Gale identified as a female, she was highly suspected to have been a transgendered male. She was known for her frequent attendance at municipal meetings and her unique method of supporting her political arguments through song.
