Jennifer Beals is an American film actress who playing the leading role of Alex Owens in the 1983 smash hit film Flashdance.
Personal Life
Jennifer Beals was married from 1986 to 1996 to director Alexandre Rockwell. She married again in 1998 to business man Ken Dixon and had a daughter in October of 2005.
Beals is good friends with Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino. Beals opened her home to him while he was just an aspiring director.
Since 1980 Beals has been best friends with actress Marlee Matlin, also staring in The L Word.
In 2006, Beals was the Grand Marshal at the San Francisco Pride Parade.
Beals describes herself as grounded and highly spiritual.
