Jenna Bush Wedding

Jenna Bush and Henry Hager will wed in Crawford, Texas on May 10, 2008. Contrary to speculation, the couple will not have a White House wedding. Instead, the Bush and Hager will have a more intimate wedding at her family's secluded, 1600-acre ranch.

Details about the outdoor wedding have been kept quiet, but reports say events include a rehearsal dinner, a barbecue lunch and a large reception for the 200+ guests.

Bush and Hager met while Hager was working for former White House aid Karl Rove. The couple made their first public appearance at a state dinner in November, 2005, and were engaged in 2007 when Hager proposed to Bush on Cadillac Mountain, Maine.

Hager reportedly sought the consent of President Bush in before asking for Jenna Bush's hand in marriage. Bush's engagement ring features a diamond and two sapphires.

Oscar de la Renta will design Bush's beaded wedding dress that is described as "simple but elegant." The outdoor ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm and will feature a reception at Bush's Crawford ranch.
