Jendayi Frazer is an American diplomat who currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs. She was served as the U.S. ambassador until being appointed to her current position by George W. Bush in 2005. Frazer was instrumental in early negotiations between Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga during the violence that erupted after Kenya's 2007 presidential elections.
