Jefferson Airplane

-->
  • Jefferson Airplane was an American Rock band from San Francisco that helped pave the way for the Psychedelic rock movement of the 1960s. Led by lead singer and counter-culture icon Grace Slick, Jefferson Airplane were one of the first Psychedelic bands to achieve commercial success. Their 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow is one of the most characteristic albums of the "Summer of Love". Throughout the years, the band has gone through many lineup and name changes, from Jefferson Airplane to Jefferson Starship, to Starship, to Jefferson Starship The Next Generation.
