  • Canadian professional hockey player Jeff Tambellini plays for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League.
  • NHL Career

    Tambellini was drafted 27th overall in the 2003 NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He continued to attend and play for the University of Michigan for three seasons after the draft, then joined the Kings' American Hockey League affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs, in 2005. Tambellini joined the Kings for his NHL debut that same year. He played four games with the Kings before he was traded to the New York Islanders on March 8, 2006. Since the trade, Tambelinni has split his time between the Islanders and their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
