Jeff Ruland

Jeff Ruland is an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers NBA basketball team. Previously, he coached for Iona College from 2000 to 2007 and the NBA development league in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Official Site: Jeff Ruland BioNBA Development League: Jeff Ruland Bio

Jeff Ruland was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 1980 NBA draft. He decided to play one year in Spain and in 1981 was traded to the Washington Bullets.

Ruland was traded to the 76ers in 1986 for Moses Malone. He played only five games before retiring due to injury. Ruland came out of retirement in 1991, but tore his Achilles tendon after thirteen games.

In the 1992 - 1993 season, Jeff Ruland played 11 games for the Detroit Pistons before being waived by the Pistons in January 1993. This ended his career as a player.Official Site: Jeff Ruland Bio

Jeff Ruland was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team in 1982. He was selected to the Eastern Conference All-Star team twice while playing for the Washington Bullets.
