Jeff Probst

Jeff Probst is a television personality and the host of the popular CBS reality show Survivor. In 2001, he wrote a film called Finder's Fee earning him the Best Director and Best Picture awards at the Seattle International Film Festival.

Probst won an Emmy Award in 2009 for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program. He repeated at the 2010 Emmy Awards as Outstanding Reality Host. Probst has a total of nine Emmy Award nominations for his work on Survivor, with four wins.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0698251/awards

Probst began his professional television career in 1994 on an FX series titled Backchat in which he answered viewer questions about other series on the network. Four years later Probst hosted the short-lived game show Rock & Roll Jeopardy. He was hired to host Survivor starting in 2000, which went on to become wildly popular and running for well over 20 seasons. His Survivor gig has also promoted several guest spots on a variety of talk shows and other television series including The Wayne Brady Show in 2004, I Love the '90s: Part Deux in 2005, MADtv in four episodes from 2003 to 2007, I Get that a Lot in 2009, Jeopardy! in five episodes from 2005 to 2010, Dancing with the Stars in 2008 and 2010, and many more.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0698251/

Probst is an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church in Modesto, California. He performed his parents renewal of their vows in 1999.

Probst also works with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation as a volunteer spokesperson. He and Julie Berry, a contestant from Survivor: Vanuatu, dated for three years. In high school he earned a letter playing golf.
