Jeff Hardy is a professional wrestler currently performing for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on the SmackDown brand. Along with his brother Matt Hardy, he is one half of the Hardy Boyz tag team.
On September 11, 2009, thepilot.com reported that Hardy was arrested for trafficking controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids. Career
Jeff and his brother Matt were given full-time WWE contracts in 1998 and became a tag team known as the Hardy Boyz. The team would go on to feud with Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boyz, winning the WWE Tag Team Titles on numerous occasions. Jeff has also had success as a singles wrestler, winning the European, Hardcore Championship, Light Heavyweight, and Intercontinental Championships. Jeff would leave the WWE in 2003, eventually joining Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2004. Jeff would wrestle for TNA until 2006 when he returned to WWE. Suspension
Near the end of 2007, Jeff Hardy began to receive a bigger push toward main event status. As the Intercontinental Champion, he was booked in several main event matches at pay-per-view events, including an Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out in 2008. Hardy was scheduled to appear at WrestleMania XXIV in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. However, Hardy was suspended for 60 days on March 11th following a second violation of WWE's Substance Abuse Policy.
