Professional ice hockey player Jeff Halpern plays with the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League.
Halpern was acquired by the Kings on the 2010 NHL Trade Deadline from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Teddy Purcell and a third round draft choice.
NHL Career
Halpern entered the NHL by signing as a free agent with the Washington Capitals on March 29, 1999. He made his NHL debut that same year and played with the Capitals until the 2004-05 NHL lockout, when he played in Switzerland for the Kloten Flyers. After one additional season with the Captials, Halpern signed as a free agent with the Dallas Stars on July 5, 2006. After a year and a half in Dallas, Halpern was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning on February 26, 2008.
