For Jeff Green, the 2007 NBA draft was a whirlwind, placing him briefly among the ranks of 2007-2008 NBA champs the Boston Celtics before sending him to the Oklahoma Thunder for a key piece of that championship Celtics team, Ray Allen. Green was initially selected fifth in the 2007 draft, behind a group of players that included his current Thunder teammate Kevin Durant, the number two selection that year behind Greg Oden of the Portland Trailblazers. But shortly thereafter, he was shipped off to Oklahoma along with Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak.
As a college junior in 2006-2007, Green helped the Georgetown Hoyas make it to their first NCAA Final Four appearance since 1985. He started all 102 games of his college career and wound up ranking 12th in assists, 16th in rebounding and 17th in assists on the Georgetown all-time list. As a result, Green made it onto the Associated Press All-America Third Team for 2006-2007. http://www.nba.com/thunder/photos/media_guide_2009-10.pdf<ref>

Jeff Green 2008-09 Season
Based on the early evidence, Green could turn out to be a very consistent NBA performer. His totals for the 2008-2009 season were remarkably close to those of 2009-2010, with minutes per game (36.4), field goal percentage (44.6%) and three-point shot average (38.9%) hovering right around the same threshholds. The 6-9, 235-pound player is easy to overlook on the Thunder roster in light of the accomplishments of superstar Kevin Durant and others, but he remains an integral part of this young team's engine and a smart, triangulated trade acquisition from the Celtics.http://www.nba.com/playerfile/jeff_green/career_stats.html<ref>
