  • Jeff Gordon's Career

    Jeff Gordon began his racing career at the age of five, when he began running laps at a makeshift racetrack converted for the purpose by his stepfather. At six he drove quarter midget cars, and then, at 13, began to race sprint cars. At the age of 15 he began driving stock cars.

    Gordon tested for the Busch Grand Nationals in 1990, and began working with Ray Evernham. He won his first race for Busch in 1992, and is currently part of Hendricks Motor Sports and sponsored by DuPont.Jeff Gordon.com: Biography

    On April 5, 2009, Gordon won the Samsung 500, breaking a 47-race winless streak.
