"Tron Legacy"
Bridges played the role of software engineer Kevin Flynn in the original 1982 film Tron, and is returning for the film's 2010 sequel, Tron Legacy. The new film follows Flynn's son, Sam (played by Garrett Hedlund, who's investigating his infamous father's disappearance. The Dude Abides
One of Bridges' most celebrated and iconic roles was Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski from the Coen Brothers 1998 comedy-noir The Big Lebowski. The Dude, an aging former roadie who becomes entangled in a bizarre kidnapping case, along with his bowling buddies Walter (John Goodman) and Donny (Steve Buscemi), is based on an actual friend of the Coens, Jeff Dowd. The film has become a cult favorite and a popular film at "midnight screenings," and even has a series of conventions (called "Lebowski Fests") held annually in movie theaters and bowling alleys nationwide.
