Jeff Bingaman is the Democratic junior Senator from New Mexico. He began his Senate career in 1983, and is currently serving his fifth consecutive term. Bingaman is one of the Democratic Party's superdelegates who endorsed Barack Obama's Democratic nomination in 2008.
