Background and Career
Bailey was drafted in the second round of the 1997 entry draft by the Florida Marlins. On March 22, 2002, he was traded to the Montreal Expos in exchange for Wilson Valdez. He was granted free agency in October 15, 2003. The Boston Red Sox signed him as a free agent on October 15, 2004.
