Jeff Ament is a founding member and the bassist for the rock band Pearl Jam.
Ament and band employee Mark Anthony Smith were reportedly mugged on April 27, 2009, outside of the Atlanta recording studio Southern Tracks Recording. Three masked men vandalized the band's rented Jeep Commander, stole a BlackBerry phone and other goods, stole Ament's backpack which included his passport, and demanded money.
