Highs and Lows
Giguere had remarkable statistics in the 2003 NHL Playoffs, tallying a 7-0 record in overtime and settling the NHL record for longest playoff overtime streak without allowing a goal (168 minutes, 27 seconds.) The Ducks eventually lost in seven games to the New Jersey Devils in the finals. Giguere won the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP, becoming only the fifth player to do so from the losing team.Stanley Cup Victory
Giguere missed the first several games of the 2007 playoff season, when his son his born with an eye injury. He returned late in the first round and played the remaining games to help the Ducks to their first ever Stanley Cup championship. He finished the 2006-2007 season with a 36-10-7 record.
