Jean Chretien

Jean Chretien was the twentieth Prime Minister of Canada. Chretien held the position as Prime Minister from 1993 until 2003. Chretien retired from his position on December of 2003 and was replaced by his former finance minister Paul Martin.Library and Archives Canada: Jean Chretien

• Chretien and President Bill Clinton both watched the 1998 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Both set up a deal, whereas Chretien bet on the Ottawa Senators while Clinton bet on the Washington Capitals.
