Jayne Ann Krentz is a prolific writer of romance, romance-suspense, and futuristic-romance-suspense. She has written 122 novels, and she created the futuristic-romance genre. Career
Krentz receive a Master's in Library Science from San Jose State University. For a period, she worked at Duke University. She sold her first book, Gentle Pirate in 1979. It was published as a Candlelight Ecstasy book under the pen name, Jayne Castle. The first book in the Silhouette Desire Series was a Krentz book, Corporate Affair, that was published under the pen name of Stephanie James. She has also published books using the pen name's of Jayne Bentley, Jayne Taylor, Amanda Quick and Amanda Glass. -
