On October 1, 2007, Spears lost custody of her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline, was awarded sole custody. In February 2008, Spears regained supervised visitation with her children after a three day negotiation between her and Federline's lawyers.
