Jay McCarroll is an American fashion designer and winner of the first season of Bravo's Project Jay. He premiered his documentary Eleven Minutes on Logo on February 20, 2009. Career
Jay McCarroll studied fashion at the Philadelphia University. In 1995, he dropped out and moved to London where he attended the London College of Fashion. In 2005, McCarroll won the first season of Project Runway, a fashion-based reality show on the Bravo network. Project Jay, a one-hour special aired in 2006 highlighting McCarroll's post Project Runway career. He continues to work as a fashion designer. In 2008, he launched his site and online boutique. The site features fashion sketches by Jay and unique products from new designers. Jay also has designed a line of cotton print fabrics suitable for sewing clothing, fashion accessories and quilts.
Jay McCarroll on Celebrity Fit Club Season 7
Jay participated in Celebrity Fit Club Season 7. He was made team leader of the Red Team in Episode 1. Jay was spurred to participate in the show based on family history. He is taking the diet and exercise more seriously than some of his teammates. In Episode 6, Jay lights into two of his team members Bobby Brown and Nicole Eggert. Bobby shows a lack of commitment to the diet by eating bags of chips and Nicole continues to partake of wine. Both Bobby and Nicole make excuses about their lack of progress.
McCarroll was announced the winner of Celebrity Fit Club season 7, losing a total of 40 pounds in the process.
