    Jay Leno is a Talk Show host, Author and Comedian. He is host of the new The Jay Leno Show on NBC at 10 pm nightly weekdays from September 14, 2009 onwards.     In January of 2010, NBC announced that it would cancel Jay Leno's 10 pm Jay Leno Show due to poor ratings, and was considering moving Leno back into a late-night slot in the schedule. The network publicly floated the possibility of moving O'Brien's Tonight Show back to 12:05 am, a decision the host stated he would refuse to abide by.

  • Free Concert

    On April 7, 2009, Leno performed a free concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan. His show was his comedy version of the stimulus package to suburban Detroit. Being a car buff, Leno added quite a few auto jokes and thanked the union members in the audience for creating the "middle class." There was such a high demand for his show that a second show was added for April 8, 2009. At one point, after announcing his free show, Leno spotted four of his "free" tickets on eBay selling for over $800.   • Hospitalized

    Leno was admitted to Providence Saint Joseph's Medical Center on April 23, 2009, after suffering from dehydration.   • Strike Scab?

    • On February 26, 2009, it was reported that the WGA trial committee planned to call Jay Leno to testify on charges he violated strike terms last year by writing his own material.   • Jay Leno Newscast?

    A Boston NBC affiliate announced on April 2, 2009, that in the fall of 2009 they will air an hour-long 10 p.m. newscast rather than the Jay Leno Show. Ed Ansin, the owner the NBC station WHDH, was quoted in Boston Globe as saying, "We don't think the Leno show is going to be effective in prime time. It will be detrimental to our 11 o'clock (newscast). It will be very adverse to our finances."
