Badu and Jay Electronica's relationship was revealed to the public in mid 2008 following the news of her pregnancy. Badu gave birth to the couple's baby girl on February 1, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. Jay Electronica made this comment about the birth, "It’s the happiest day of my life."
